Board Mission:

My professional career in the industrial real estate sector in the Czech Republic spans nearly three decades. I would like to leverage the experience I have gained working under twelve different governments and observing their various approaches to the free market, regulation, land use, taxation, and other key areas to help improve the Czech business environment. These factors have a significant impact on the decision-making processes of large corporations when considering the placement of strategic projects in Europe and around the world. The Czech Republic has much to offer, but structural improvements and changes are still needed to maintain our competitiveness in the rapidly evolving global economy.

 AmCham Priorities

- Construction Code Refresh and Redigitisation

The construction code should be updated and digitalised to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

- New Land Use Code as a Key Economic Policy Tool

The new land use code should be regarded as a major instrument for implementing economic policies and achieving a balanced approach to economic, environmental, and social needs.

- Tax Income Redistribution

Income tax should be less redistributed at the national level, with a larger share remaining in the municipalities or regions where the tax is generated.

- Limiting Municipal Rights and Reintroducing Districts

The rights of individual municipalities should be limited, and the reintroduction of approximately 70 districts in the Czech Republic should be considered to replace the current governance by 6,500 individual municipalities.
