Thanksgiving Ball raised CZK405.433,- to fund LET´S GIVE CHILDREN A CHANCE and THE ENDOWMENT FOR INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM foundations

Thanks to the ball´s attendees CZK 215.433,- was raised during the Silent Auction. Together with CZK 190.000,- donated by members when purchasing corporate tables the total amount raised was CZK 405.433,- for AmCham One World, Many Voices program.

This year we have chosen the two charitable projects to receive the donations from One World, Many Voices program. The first project, LET´S GIVE CHILDREN A CHANCE, helps those who have a hard start- orphans- get a boost at the start of their career through training, particularly training in technology (for more info go at www.dejmedetemsanci.cz). The second project, THE ENDOWMENT FOR INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM, devotes resources to the vital area of monitoring the management of our government with the emphasis of building trust by highlighting high performance and providing lessons by underlining poor (for more info go at www.nfnz.cz). Companies and individuals who want to support these projects further can donate either through our account or directly to the non-profits conducting these activities.

1. Cooking Class lead by chef Roman Paulus, a recipient of the Michelin star, for 6 persons with a degustration of signature drinks at Be Bob bar – donated by Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, Prague. (auctioned off for CZK 40.000,-)

2. WOWcher for STAR WARS in Bellevue (battle of  Michelins´ Chefs) – 5-course menu with wine pairing for 6 persons – donated by Zátiší Group. (auctioned off for CZK 20.000,-)

3. Voucher for a golf play on Casa Serena in 2017 for 4 persons including "All inclusive service" – donated by Casa Serena. (auctioned off for CZK 16.500,-)
