AmCham Real Estate Council discussed digitization of permitting
AmCham Real Estate Council met with with Petr Klán, Director, Department for Digitization and Information Systems, Ministry for Regional Development. The participants have agreed that permitting process digitization is a prerequisite for technological transition of the country.
The Ministry for Regional Development has been collecting data on the tasks performed by building offices in order to be able to digitize processes.
The plan is to launch a national portal in the second half of 2024, making the permitting process less of an administrative burden, step by step.
Markéta Topinková of Squire Patton Boggs updated us on the state of implementation of the New Construction Act, with January 1, 2024 applying to infrastructure projects (state/large infrastructure projects) and July 1, 2024 to all development projects. Transitional period for project documentation will stretch until June 30, 2027.
