AmCham discussed with new Head of CzechInvest Jan Michal how to build innovative economy
AmCham leadership has exchanged ideas on how to build an innovative economy with CzechInvest and its new leader, Jan Michal.
In order to maintain and expand prosperity, we need not only to manufacture advanced technology, but we also need to research and develop it. CzechInvest will need help from the entire Government.
The more advanced technology we research and develop here, the more successful start-ups we will have. The more basic and applied research opportunities we will have. The more high wage, international career advancing job opportunities we will have for both Czech university students and Czechs currently working in science outside our borders. That means more students studying STEM subjects. That means more professors with knowledge of the science behind the advanced technology, which means even more interest in their research and teaching capabilities. Advanced technology development that starts the virtuous cycle turning.
Our advice? No more slogans. No new strategies. Find the companies who are already ready to make major investments in developing advanced technologies and get the deal done. AmCham is ready to help make it happen.
